Isle of Skye, Scotland

The Isle of Skye in the Highlands of Scotland is known for its rugged landscapes, picturesque fishing villages, and medieval castles. The largest and northernmost island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago, it has an indented coastline of peninsulas and narrow lochs, radiating out from a mountainous interior formed by volcanic rock. Skye is famously called out in the 19th-century Scottish song, "The Skye Boat Song." Fun fact about Scotland: there are more sheep than people.
